New Week

Looks like it's Monday now...With the sun out like this we should be gathering sap by this evening. I just finished taking care of Sunday's eggs about 45 minutes ago (the count was 21 dozen) and Blake and I are going to be heading off on an equipment related errand. The DX 120 (same tractor as in the photos below) needs a bearing replaced in the transmission. Right now it sounds like a cat fight inside if you try driving it! Paul is busy with a meeting...The gals are busy too of course. Cleaning, lunch (hopefully...I saw a chicken thawing) etc. Ya'll will have to wait a bit for more good quality photos since my camera had a fall over the weekend and is currently in many small pieces. I got another on eBay which should arrive towards the end of the week. I'll have to put up a video of the chickens when I open the bus door in the AM. They're always eager to get out.

By way of further explanation of the tractor tire photos below (I was going to earlier but didn't get it done): Blake and I were cleaning out the cow shed over the course of a couple days and experienced two flat tires in the process. Both required a bit of walking to get home from the fields (both on rented property). Blake's flat was more expensive (smirks...) and had to be fixed with a new tire. Mine took trip to get an inner tube some time to install and we were were off again.
