Some shots of this year's walnut harvest

This isn't a great black walnut year. That happens every now and then, a slow year sandwiched between a couple bumper crop years.

It is a little foreboding to look out the window and see a truck this size backed up to the huller. Had it been full, that would've been a whole lot of walnuts to run through!!! As it turned out, the truck was larger than needed for the load it carried.

We started our season a little cooler and a little wetter than normal. That can make things pretty messy!
