The other day I walked into the office to see Blake mapping out his latest adventure on Google. We both laughed when we saw the results. Normally Googlemaps gives the estimated time a trip will take in hours and minutes. This time it said: 1 day, 0 hours.
Paul, Blake, and Brady left a short while ago for Philadelphia to pick up a truck. (That ebay again!!!!!!!!!). From there, Paul will turn around and drive home; Blake will continue on to Boston for, of all things, another truck. He'll then swing through Pennsylvania for a stop at the Deutz tractor dealer.
Don't ask me why so many trucks. I don't know. Paul and Blake both mumbled through some sort of explanation when I asked them about it.
So, what this boils down to here on the home front is: same old, same old. Not, of course, that we don't miss people when they're gone, but this family does have a way of filling in for the missing when they are.
Presently Logan is emptying the milk tank. He's already cleaned out the Brillion seeder that he was using last night to plant, I think, oats. At least oats is what I picked up at the mill and took out to the field for him.
There is a small consolation to all of this traveling the guys are doing: we don't have to dress chickens today. That was the job every other day this week and will be tomorrow, too. I'm sure Audrey, my ever faithful helper in that department, will be glad of it as well!
