To Our Mom on Mother's Day. (Ok, this is a day late, but we take after you in that department.)
:: You are always waiting up for us kids whenever we get home from a party - wanting to hear all about it. ::
::Shopping trips with you are great because you are always good for a chocolate milkshake. ::
:: At any given time - day or night - any of us who are traveling and lost can call you up for directions. ::
:: Chocolate chips are your one weakness...which means when we want to bake something, they are usually gone. But at least you keep buying them. =) ::
:: You have been (and still are) riding in the passenger seat as we learn to drive. Thanks to you, we hear your voice inside our heads telling us to 'slow down', 'put on your seat belt' and 'don't text and drive.' And sometimes we hear the echo of a panicked scream if we take a corner too fast. ::
:: You have probably changed a couple of thousand diapers in the last 22 years. ::
:: Your drawing and writing abilities are amazing. And we are looking forward to being featured in your first book...I think. ::
:: You are always and forever losing your glasses, which can be amusing to us, especially if we can point out that they are on your head. ::
:: You have a great sense of humor, but you are also very gullible, so we like to make up stories to see just how tall the tale can be before you realize we are kidding. ::

Oh, and about the diapers....I just roughly figured it out. Some of you dearies didn't potty train until you were three (or more!) years old. I am going to say a conservative estimate of changes I've done (since I do MOST of them, right?) is over 105,000. That's figuring 8 changes a day because that sounds about right for the way I do it. But you know I don't mind..... ;)
So, hey, don't knock my cloth diapers. 105,000 disposables would've cost me $17,850 or so.
