Long Live the New Van

Over the years we have had the tradition of naming our vehicles. There has been The Gray Ghost*, The Puddle Jumper**, The Celebrity***, and the late dearly departed Titanic. I can't remember the exact details on how it came to be named that, but I think it began with us calling it 'the ship' and joking about it 'sailing along.' Then somebody mentioned something about it maybe 'sinking' someday and from that time on we called it The Titanic.

With the buying of our 'new' van, there have been discussions on what to name this vehicle. We would love your help. Here are a few suggestions we came up with. Please leave a comment with your choice of a name, either from this list or one you came up with yourself. =)

:: The Great Ranger ::
(Famous Pirate Ship)

:: Incognito ::

:: Air Force One ::
(The aircraft that The President uses.)

:: S.O.S. ::
(code for Save Our Ship)

:: Carpathia ::
(A good friend suggested this one. It's the name of the ship that rescued the Titanic survivors. If we would have gotten a Chevy, we would have probably used it. You can still vote for it. )

:: The Bounty ::
(From the famous story about the mutiny on the Bounty)

Or, hey, we could dispense with the ship theme altogether. Mom suggests not giving it any sort of dubious title.

*The Gray Ghost was a 1977 gray pick up truck.

**The Puddle Jumper was a little black 5 speed Mazda. 'Tweren't much to look at, but it was fun to drive. Mom and her sisters and dad's sister learned to drive stick with it.

***The Celebrity was just that. A 1986 Celebrity.
