Haying

Raking

The hay bale coming out!

Unloading the bales...

Clark had a lot of fun!

And I leave you with this....

Haying while the sun shines.....means working after dark!

Looks like this is going to be one of those nights. It's nearing 9 PM and there's another 40 acres of hay to make. It could be left until Monday....if there it wasn't supposed to rain tomorrow.

Logan and I just got back from getting another roll of net wrap. Blake is baling. Garth is hauling the bales off the field with the loader. Paul and Geof are hauling bales from that rented farm home. There are a bunch of children along for the ride, including Shannah who has her camera. I'm sure she'll be posting pictures later.

Trevor has a cold and isn't feeling well. Come to think of it, I'm not feeling the best myself. Both of us have a little sinus thing going and I wonder if the baby powder Clark dumped all over the bedroom floor the other night has anything to do with it????

Need to run and get food ready for the hungry haymakers. I had Shannah turning ice cream and I made a pot of soup. Maria made bread earlier.

Clark and I were out in the yard when I saw this balloon up in the air several fields away. He enjoyed looking at it, so I called all the children who within hollering distance to jump in the van so we could follow it a ways. There would've been plenty of other things to do besides drive around looking at hot air balloons, but it was neat!
