In the past year Ginny has been diagnosed with breast cancer and lymphoma. Here's a chance to help her with continuing treatment expenses.
After
a breast cancer lumpectomy and partial lymph node removal last fall
Ginny was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma in April 2014
when she had an enlarged neck lymph node removed.
She has felt well -though more tired than normal- throughout. If you've
ever seen her garden back in Ohio or the one here in Michigan you won’t
be too surprised to know she’s grown another fantastic one this year
(and is as generous as ever with the produce of course).
She’s also been motivated to do a lot of research, thinking, prayer and discussion with family about what treatment path(s) she’d like to take. Her inner peace and trust in God have been impressive to see.
She has been working within the conventional cancer treatment framework using typical testing methods, surgery and select pharmaceutical protocols for treatment. Going forward however she’s also looking to move beyond that stage with intensive nutritional therapies and anti-cancer treatments developed from recent research on PNC peptides published in the International Journal of Cancer and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
This is where your help can make a big difference. Cancer treatment in general is costly and often the only way to cover the cost of newer or less conventional treatment is through the efforts of a large group of people who care about the cause. Each of you for example!
Your financial gifts will help Ginny cover the cost of expenses such as:
-Cancer tests to determine status and effectiveness of treatments (as one example a single PET scan often costs $3,000-4,000+)
-PNC peptide-based anti-cancer treatment (~$2100 for 3 weeks of treatment)
-Clinic-based intensive nutritional therapy (~$5700 per week)
-Travel expenses for treatment as needed (airfare, hotel etc.)
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by September 19th (Ginny’s birthday) to help her move forward with additional treatment.
