In honor of Father's day, here are a few facts about Dad:
:: Health food is one of the most important things to Dad. (besides Mom and us kids, of course.) ::
:: Dad really likes half dollars. We kids get embarrassed sometimes when we make a rather large purchase (like over $50) and have to lug a box of half dollars in to the place of business. (Yes, that picture is of Dad. From the 1800's or sometime.) =) ::
:: Dad L.O.V.E.S. yodeling. He listens to it on YouTube when he does paperwork sometimes. And you can hear it ALL OVER the house. ::
:: Hand motions. Dad is the king of hand motions. Even when talking on the phone. ::
:: To distinguish himself from all of the other Paul Yoders in the area, Dad has gone by different variations of his name. In the last decade, he has been mostly known as Paul David, but in years past, he has been called 'P.D.', 'Peter Dan' and 'David.' ::
:: He loves auctions. When he was younger he dreamed of being an auctioneer. Sometimes he (loudly) 'auctions' stuff just to get a rise out of us. ::
:: He speaks Dutch fluently. (An Amish form of German.) We have tried to tell him that when he is speaking it, he also laughs in Dutch too, but I don't think he believes us. ::
:: Dad sometimes comes across as being stern and unsmiling, but that isn't always the case. He THINKS he is smiling, when really he looks absolutely solemn. ::
