First crop hay!!!

On Saturday Blake mowed the fields for hay. But, he did run into a little problem....part of the hitch broke apart! Our neighbor does some welding for us so he took it over to him. Well he wasn't home. After riding the neighborhood with the four-wheeler looking for him.....

....we finally spotted him plowing a neighbor's field.

Andrew (the neighbor) got it welded back together and Blake got back to his mowing.

Yesterday Dad and Logan took turns raking.

And it is time to bale it!!

There were a few times that he had to call Mom up and have her bring him tools/parts. And she of course gladly came to his rescue. ;)

He fixes the problem, then...

...moves on.

After the baling was done, we loaded the bales up and took them home to be wrapped. Loading the them on the bale hauler:

As usual the bale hauler gave us plenty of trouble. This morning while loading bales it quit.

So...today they had Andrew hauling bales with his tractor and two trailers. (In the first picture below, notice the bus/bale hauler).

Clark loved all the action!!!!! Sitting on the bales

And now....the final step.....wrapping!! Loading the bales into the wrapper:

This is how we keep them for the winter before feeding them to the cows:

And that is first crop hay!!!!!!
Here are a few pictures from yesterday;
