The Farmer's Wife Goes to Pick Up Soil Inputs

I am sitting live, on location at the place where I am to be picking up some fish powder and humus for the pastures at home. I have Clay with me. He is amusing himself with two long bolts he found on his tour through the office.

We have been here for quite some time. First I needed to wait for Paul to get to the house to get his order together. In a perfect world he would have had this together before I left. When I left home, he was still talking to another farmer who came, I think, for advice. I figured we'd catch up to each other by cell later, which we did.

The guy running the place where I am is a one man show. The phone's been ringing and now he's having a hard time finding one of the items I wanted. I know too well what it is to stress over not having what a customer wants. I assured him not to knock himself out. Earlier he poked his head in the door to ask if I can drive a fork lift. He needed help reaching some inventory somewhere in an obscure corner. Skid steers I drive, fork lifts I have never tried. But hey, farm women are notorious for their wide array of skill and experience. It couldn't hurt to ask, right?

The biggest bummer is Paul needed the truck I am driving by two o'clock so he can haul piggies. That won't be happening.

I need to tend to Clay and the bolts now. It's either the bolts or him boing-ing the door stops.

P.S. Turns out the BIGGEST bummer is that I came home with $140 worth of product. The poor guy could NOT find the $1,000 worth of product I really wanted, the very stuff I drove one hour one way to go get, the very stuff Paul called them about several days ago...
