Audrey came in the door all flustered (and somewhat annoyed) announcing, "There's a whole herd of buffalo in (the neighbor's) field."
Maria, Shannah, and Miles went out to help her round up some of our cows that had gone roaming. I then spent the.whole.time.they.were.out assuring Clark that she.did.not.really.mean BUFFALO. She was kidding. Joking. Being sarcastic.
I got to laughing inside when for the fifth or sixth time Clark would ask, "There's really buffalo in Myron's field?" Trevor would echo each time with a string of "buffalo, buffalo, buffalo" in baby talk.
Gotta love those literal little children!
