The family that I babysit for several times a week was going on vacation to Cape Cod and asked me to go along to help out with the 4 children. (3 yrs. and younger) David and Bethany let me bring a friend (Sylvia) along. We were gone a little over a week.
::We drove through New York City. Sylvia and I were in David's car, following the family van. Let me tell you, I NEVER want to drive through that city again!!! It was a stick shift car and I kept stalling it in the traffic jams and there was so much noise that sometimes I couldn't tell if the car had died or not. Boy, was I glad to get out of there alive!!!::
::By the time we saw this sign for Cape Cod we were pretty much dead tired of traveling.::
::This is part of the view from the dining room window.::
::The house we stayed in::
::Sylvia! (or 'Sophia', as the kids called her.)
::Sorry, I'm not much of a photographer. Actually, not one AT ALL. So the pictures don't do the view justice.::

::One of the days we went to a lot of the little thrift stores in the area.::

::I got a kick out of some of their signs.::

::Posing by the mail trucks after sending post cards to our families.::

::Coloring a picture while the kids were taking their naps. Yup, I think she was a bit bored here.::
::Cooking supper::
::Sylvia working on a salad::
::Two of the kids were foster children, so I can't post pictures of them, unfortunately. And just because they aren't in most of the pictures doesn't mean we weren't doing our job. =) We changed a lot of diapers and shook pounds and pounds of sand out of their clothes. =) ::

::Collecting shells for little sisters at home::
::On a walk through the neighborhood::
::Ron Paul!!! =) ::
::The water was very cold, but I had to walk in it just to say I did it. =) ::
::Unpacking a picnic lunch.::
::SO glad Sylvia was able to come along!!!::
::David's Aunt got married about 2 hours away from Cape Cod on Saturday.::
::Just before we left Massachusetts and headed for New York::
