I love 4 year olds!

I don't have the camera with me this morning, or I'd take a picture. Clark-age 4- wasn't feeling well during the night so I kept him at home while the rest of the family went to church. With everyone gone and no way for us to get to church....hmmmm....he is feeling some better.

Clark has been in recent habit of plastering our fridge with his many drawings and photocopied pages from his beloved books. Someone (Shannah!) cleaned up the fridge yesterday and removed quite a few of his displayed artwork. He was half hurt that so many were missing when he discovered it this morning.

I tried to console him with kinder words than, "The girls threw them out." I told him instead that someone must've wanted him to put new ones up.

Staples is gonna love me for that! Considering it his duty, he proceeded to run the copier for quite some time making new pictures for the fridge and has been having fun decorating with his newest work.

I think there are now MORE pictures there today than there were yesterday. Shannah might not be amused, but I am!

Logan's Truck

No, this truck was not in an accident. My boys took it apart on purpose.

From a mother's perspective, this looks like an utterly hopeless situation. I mean, this truck definitely looked more drivable before they got it to this point.....but the truth be known, the truck didn't run before they started.

I'm sure if I weren't so tired in the typing of it, I could come up with an awesome allegory of how some things are not as they seem. A truck intact in body may not be so in spirit....and so it is with us. And the messes that look the least fixable to human minds are no match for God who can fix up the rottenest of us.

I have no idea how long it will take, but I am told that someday Logan will end up with a real truck from this. My boys do seem to have a knack for cobbling up thousands of parts into something they wind up driving down the road.
