It seems we always post the same pictures of haying every year, so here goes again!!!!

Trevor running to meet Logan after mowing.

Planting Garden

Logan laid plastic down again this year. It is so much easier to do it this way. Not quite as much weeding!!! :)

"I can't hear you!"

People ask us often if Brock and Brady are identical or not. At birth the doctor said they probably are. Some days they look more alike than others.

A little good, old fashioned fun

Ok, so the neighbors probably think we're nuts. That's my disclaimer....

Mom and Dad went out back to move the beef cows and the children decided to have a little fun with Elam's buggy and the 4 wheeler.

Giddyup, this is fun, but we aren't going anywhere. Hey! We need a horse!

Well, hmmm, would this work instead of a horse?

We could always give it a try.

Better make sure it's secure. You know, or else mom won't be happy.

All set?

Ok, here we go!

We're actually moving!

Where do you want to go??

Slow and steady now....

Yeah, that was fun. Let's do it again sometime.

We're finally getting a yard!!!

Maria's Home!!!

And has been for a little over a week now. :)

Tuesday night we had a surprise welcome home party for her. None of the pictures really turned out, but I'll post a couple anyway.

Splitting Locust Posts

It's dawning on me why our family doesn't have a lot of need for planned curriculum-related activities in our home school....

I was reading the book Shades of Gray by Carolyn Reeder to the boys. In the chapter I had just finished reading, the uncle and nephew had been making fence. What did my boys proceed to go out to do? Yep. Make fence! Only it just happened that way; they didn't decide to make fence because of what they'd been reading.

Uh oh. I spy trouble up ahead...and I can prove they weren't working the ENTIRE time. :)

Yep, Josh climbed the tree he'd been eyeing.

And of course the others couldn't miss a photo-op.

And officially meet Elam. He's been working for us. He's not one for a lot of pictures, so this is it for now.
