If you have been studying the weather maps today, you will notice that there have been strong greens, yellows, oranges and reds indicative of copious amounts of rain falling on our beloved state. In fact, a whole colorful band spanned the entire state at one point. Almost.
If you looked closely enough, you will have noticed that there is a smallish area (maybe only as big as 129 acres??) that almost NO rain has fallen. This is where we live. What fell was not enough to completely moisten the sidewalk. Again.
All our friends and relatives are texting: Surely you're getting some rain now???
Nope.
We are, I think, the forgotten corner of the world.
God knows. We rest in that.
